I was a Tomboy in my youth and this painting speaks of that inevitable and shocking ascent into adulthood around the age of 13. It represents the teenaged hormonal flux, the ultimate synergy of leaving childhood behind and  embracing a new sexual body that nature so lovingly carved. "That Tomboy Has Curves," describes both acceptance and grief as the hormones began to rage through my body.
